The Diamond Heart Foundation

The Diamond Heart Foundation exists to make available teachings and practices, particularly of Buddhism, and especially the rich tradition that developed in Tibet, in a non-doctrinaire and non-dogmatic manner that encourages inquiry and openness.

In doing so it, seeks to present these in a way that takes account of the conditions of contemporary culture and the Western psyche, and of current issues and concerns. It aims to create conditions in which individuals and society can enjoy peace, freedom from fear, happiness, well-being, and the opportunity for spiritual growth according to methods that are well-established and tested.

Rather than a religion, as one eminent lama, with good experience of the west, has recently said, "Buddhism, is a science of mind - the oldest, most developed and tested, that there is."

Khandro Ling - New Centre Opens

Khandro Ling has entered into a new and exciting phase of its development with its move into new, completely refurbished premises in the centre of Macclesfield, conveniently located for all amenities. This means we can now offer a wider range of courses and retreats to benefit people with a variety of different interests. We can have different study groups and, in due course, offer activities such as yoga and tai chi in delightful surroundings. We can also make the building available for other groups sharing our general commitment to promoting peace, happiness and well-being. We are delighted to now be able to offer access, and facilities for those with physical impairments. Inside view of the new centre :
